Geo-Gating for Threads allows you to set geographic restrictions on your posts, enabling you to include or exclude specific countries from seeing your content. Whether you're sharing sports highlights with regional licensing restrictions, promoting location-specific brand campaigns, or ensuring compliance with local regulations, this feature opens up new possibilities for targeted content strategies.

You can now test content performance in different markets before global rollouts, create personalized experiences for different regions, and automatically restrict content based on regional requirements- all with just a few clicks.

Important Note

Not all Threads accounts are eligible for geo-gating.

Eligibility requirements are determined by Threads and may include factors like account verification, follower count, or content creator status. For eligible accounts, you'll find the geographic settings (globe icon) directly in the post composer when creating new Threads content.
